Last week we had the honor of sharing our Big Indian project with the world. In case you missed the beautifully done feature on Remodelista, be sure to take a look. We owe a huge thanks to Justine Hand for putting so much care into entire piece, and for taking the time to so eloquently explain the insane amount of work that went into the project.
It’s always so exciting to have these big projects revealed. We spend so many months working in isolation, doubting ourselves, sweating, sanding, etc, that it’s so thrilling-and slightly nerve wracking!- to throw the cover off and say, here it is! This article in particular was a total stunner, and I found myself bragging to complete strangers about the feature, something I swear I never usually do. So really, be sure to take a peek at it.
Luckily for all of you die hard fans out there, I am a compulsive picture taker, which means that even though Remodelista filled their post with tons of pictures, there are still tons more to share! So now, for your viewing pleasure, a personal peek into our Big Indian project, with some never-before-seen final shots. Enjoy!
Tons more photos after the jump!

I swooned over those cabinets at Brimfield and love what you’ve done with them. So glad you didn’t paint them. Such a fun, rustic, charming kitchen, looks like its been cobbled together over the years. Your work is wonderful–the headboards are brilliant. I have a weekend house in Andes–drive through Big Indian on the way–maybe I’ll see the cabin in real life one day.
Have fun in California!

Hi there Tara and Percy. I’ve only just discovered your blog so I’m not sure what your Big Indian is but I love your interiors here. They remind me of my cabin; clean and rustic. I live in a craftsman cottage with antiques here in Vancouver so it’s not possible to duplicate anything like that here, but I also live in a 1950 cottage in England and I can see interiors like that there. Lovely. Now to go read some more of your posts. 🙂

Once again you have created a beautiful, serene sanctuary for a very lucky family!! Best of luck out in CA! I lived in San Diego for 8 years and loved every minute of it! It is wonderful to experience living in different places, this country truly does have its own special beauty in every state! Can’t wait to see how you will interpret the vibe out there and make it your own!
